Final Asheville sessions run through November. Somatic Sounds is relocating in December.
A 3-day hybrid certification — for those called to carry sound into the world
This three-day hybrid, online / in-person one on one training is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on experience to begin your journey as a sound healing practitioner.
Whether you're completely new to sound healing or looking to deepen your practice, this certification course will guide you into the art and science of working with Himalayan singing bowls — with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
You'll leave with a certification, practical skills, ongoing support, and — optionally — a personally selected set of high-quality Himalayan singing bowls for your practice.

From the science to the sacred, with hands on practice.
What sound healing is, what people come to it seeking, and where it sits alongside other wellness and therapeutic practices.
Where these instruments come from, how they have been used across cultures and centuries, and the lineage you are stepping into.
Identifying bowls by shape, tone, and make. Choosing the right mallets, and keeping your instruments in good voice.
Vibration, frequency, resonance, and entrainment. How sound moves through the body, and what settles in the nervous system when it does.
The energetic body, the chakra system, and the Vedic roots of working with voice and tone as practice.
Hands on time with technique. Rim play, striking, layering tones, and learning to listen while you play.
One on one work, and the deepest part of this course. You'll learn to place bowls around and directly on the body, drawing from the Somatic Resonance System alongside Himalayan and Vedic technique.
Gong types, basic technique, and how to bring a gong into a session without overwhelming the room.
Structuring a session from open to close, and where each of your instruments fits in. Holding the room, reading the group, pacing, and knowing when to speak and when to stay quiet.
The practical side. Setting up your space, pricing your work, waivers and insurance, and finding your first clients.
Tone arranged with purpose. Here you move from producing a clean tone to shaping it: different mallets, different textures, deliberate choices. Then where the work goes after certification, with continued mentorship and support as you find your own voice with sound.
This is the complete training. There is no Level I and Level II, no advanced follow-up you need to come back for.
This training is dedicated entirely to Himalayan singing bowls. We don't cover crystal bowls, handpans, or other modalities — mastery, in our view, comes from going deep with one lineage of instruments rather than sampling across many.
You've experienced the power of sound healing and feel a pull to bring it to others — but don't know where to start.
Yoga teachers, therapists, coaches, and bodyworkers looking to add a profound somatic tool to their existing practice.
You don't need to become a practitioner — some people take this training purely to deepen their own healing and self-practice.
Training participants have the option to purchase a personally curated set of high-quality Himalayan singing bowls — ideal for starting your personal or professional practice.
Each set is selected by Vivek himself, with attention to tone, resonance, and energetic quality. Sourced directly from Nepal.
